面部疼痛测痛仪 / 面部测痛仪 Orofacial Pain Assessment Device ，由Hargreaves博士及他的团队成员发明，设计用于测量三叉神经区域的热敏痛和机械刺激痛。大鼠为了食物，主动接受热和机械刺激。仪器度量参数为动物摄食持续时间，尝试摄食次数（红外原理测量）。

面部疼痛问题普遍存在，涉及三叉神经的独特结构和机制。目前，三叉神经痛研究的一些常用方法无一同时包含热痛和机械刺痛，且这些方法大多不涉及动物退缩或撤回反射等行为。
 

主要功能特点：

?Thermal stimulator: the temperature can be adjusted from ambient to 70°C

?Mechanical stimulator: a set of 5 mechanical stimulators of increasing force is included standard with the system

?Animal Box: works with most Tecniplast or Allentown rat home cages (included)

?Oro Software: collects and records beam-break number and duration from up to 16 cages simultaneously.
