Cat.#: 2238-1
Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody
Clone ID: EP1876Y
Swiss Prot: P05067
Mol Weight: 4kDa
Size: 100ul
Description
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by the presence of senile plaques in the brain and blood vessel walls. Amyloid Beta A4 (Aβ4) protein has been found to be the principal constituent of senile plaques of ADs patients (1-2). APP (Abeta40) is proteolytically cleaved to generate the 4 kDa Aβ4 protein. Two variants of Aβ4 can be detected; Aβ-40 short-tailed and Aβ-42 long-tailed (3-4).
