It has been used as derivatizing reagent, in the precolumn fluorescence derivatization of N-terminal tryptophan containing peptides which can be separated via high performance liquid chromatography. It may also be used in the synthesis of glyoxal bis(4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazones)solution, which can be used in the spectrophotometric determination of palladium in catalysts. |
