Ultrasonic cleaners provide a highly effective and efficient method for cleaning laboratory glassware, able to penetrate even microscopic crevices. VWR Signature ultrasonic cleaners feature precise control of time (0–99 minutes), heat, power, and degas. Heaters have thermostatic control from ambient to 80°C (176°F). Units with a capacity of 2.8L (0.75gal.) and greater have a drain with a flow control valve.

Ultrasonic cleaners incorporate full-wave industrial stack transducers that produce ultrasonic energy. Transducers are more reliable and have better performance than the wafer-thin discs used to produce ultrasonic energy in conventional benchtop cleaners. Uniform cleaning is ensured by sweeping the ultrasonic frequency from 38.5 to 40.5kHz and back. This technology eliminates the standing waves and subsequent hot spots that result from conventional ultrasonic power supplies that produce only one ultrasonic frequency.
