Catalogue Number | ANT-454 |
Synonyms | Beta-synuclein, SNCB, β-Synuclein. |
Type | Polyclonal Rabbit Antibody. |
Introduction | β-synuclein (amino acids 1-134), an acidic neuronal protein of 134 amino acids, is extremely heat-resistant. β-synucelin also has a chaperone-like activity. Recently, β-synuclein has been suggested to inhibit α-synuclein aggregation. β and α-synuclein are abundantly expressed in the brain and putatively inhibit phospholipase D2 selectively. The encoded protein, which may play a role in neuronal plasticity, is abundant in neurofibrillary lesions of patients with Alzheimer disease. |
Immunogen | Recombinant human β-Synuclein amino acids 1-134 purified from E. coli. |
Protein formulation | 1mg/ml containing PBS, pH-7.4, & 0.1% Sodium Azide. |
Storage Procedures | For periods up to 1 month store at 4°C, for longer periods of time, store at -20°C. Prevent freeze thaw cycles. |
Stability / Shelf Life | 12 months at -20°C. 1 month at 4°C. |
Applications | β-Synuclein antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:2,000 ~ 4,000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:2,000. |
Usage | ProSpec's products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals. |
