BS ISO 15786:2008 Technical drawing. Simplified representation and dimensioning of holes BS ISO 15786 has been established to specify the simplified representation and dimensioning of holes. It establishes rules to determine, unambiguously, methods for the representation — both complete and simplified — and the dimensioning of holes, as well as the structure and sequence of the descriptive elements for the simplified representation of holes. Contents of BS ISO 15786: Foreword Introduction Scope Normative references Terms and definitions Methods of representation and dimensioning of holes Complete representation and complete dimensioning of holes Complete representation and simplified dimensioning of holes Simplified representation and simplified dimensioning of holes Representation of holes on the same drawing Structure of dimensioning of holes Structure and sequence of descriptive elements for simplified dimensioning of holes Graphical symbols Number of groups of holes and number of holes in a group Indication of tolerances Hole bottom Countersinks and chamfers Depth dimensions Indication of surface texture Indication of dimensions on geometrical tolerances Examples for representation and dimensioning of holes, counterbores and internal threads Bibliography

ISO 10110 specifies the presentation of design and functional requirements for optical elements in technical drawings used for manufacturing and inspection. This part of ISO 10110 specifies rules for the indication of the damage threshold from laser irradiation up to which optical surfaces shall not exhibit any damage as defined in ISO 11254-1.

This International Standard defines the maximum material requirement, the least material requirement, the reciprocity requirement and specifies their applications. The use of these requirements is to control specific functions of workpieces where there is a mutual dependence of size and geometry, for fulfilling the function assembly of parts (for maximum material requirement) and e.g. for fulfilling the function minimum wall thickness (for least material requirement). However the maximum material requirement and least material requirement may be used to fulfill other functional design requirements.
Geometrical product specifications (GPS) - Geometrical tolerancing - Maximum material requirement (MMR), least material requirement (LMR) and reciprocity requirement (RPR)
