Switches for household and similar fixed electrical installations -- Part 2-1: Particular requirements - Electronic switches (IEC 60669-2-1:2002/A1:2008)
This part of IEC 60669 applies to manually operated general purpose switches, for a.c. only with a rated voltage not exceeding 440 V and a rated current not exceeding 63 A, intended for household and similar fixed electrical installations, either indoors or outdoors. For switches provided with screwless terminals the rated current is limited to 16 A. Switches covered by this standard are intended for the control in normal use of: – a circuit for a tungsten filament lamp load; or – a circuit for a fluorescent lamp load (including electronic ballast); or – a circuit for a substantially resistive load with a power factor not less than 0,95; or – a monophase circuit for motor load with a rated current up to 10 A and a power factor not less than 0,6; or – a combination of these.
Switches for household and similar fixed –electrical installations- Part 1: General requirements
Applies to manually operated general purpose switches for a.c. only, with a rated voltage not exceeding 440 V and a rated current not exceeding 63 A. The rated current is limited to 16 A for switches provided with screwless terminals. Unless otherwise specified in subsequent parts, this standard applies to switches intended to be used at 50 Hz.

Small switches for indoor use
This International Standard applies to electromechanical air break contactors for householdand similar purposes provided with main contacts intended to be connected to circuits the rated voltage of which does not exceed 440 V a.c. (between phases) with rated operational currents less than or equal to 63 A for utilization category AC-7a and 32 A for utilization categories AC-7b and AC-7c, and rated conditional short-circuit current less than or equal to 6 kA.The contactors dealt with in this standard are not normally designed to interrupt short-circuitcurrents. Therefore, suitable short-circuit protection (see 9.3.4) shall form part of the installation. This
