IEC 61347-2-2:2011 specifies particular safety requirements for electronic step-down convertors for use on d.c. supplies of up to 250 V or a.c. supplies of up to 1 000 V, at 50 Hz or 60 Hz and with rated output voltage 50 V r.m.s. at a frequency deviating from the supply frequency, or 120 V ripple free d.c. between conductors and between any conductor and earth, associated with tungsten-halogen lamps as specified in IEC 60357 and other filament lamps. This second edition of IEC 61347-2-2 replaces the first edition (2000), Amendment 1 (2005) and Amendment 2 (2006). The major modification for this second edition is the changeover from SELV equivalent to SELV. This publication is to be read in conjunction with IEC 61347-1:2007.

This part of IEC 61347 specifies safety requirements for ballasts, excluding resistance types, for use on a.c. supplies up to 1 000 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz, associated with fluorescent lamps with or without pre-heated cathodes operated with or without a starter or starting device and having rated wattages, dimensions and characteristics as specified in IEC 60081 and 60901. This consolidated version consists of the first edition (2000) and its amendment 1 (2006). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication.

IEC 61347-2-12:2005+A1:2010 specifies particular general and safety requirements for d.c. or a.c. supplied electronic ballasts. The supply comprises a.c. voltages up to 1000 V at 50 Hz/60 Hz. The type of ballast is an convertor that may contain igniting and stabilising elements for operation of a discharge lamp at d.c. or at a frequency that can deviate from the supply frequency. The lamps associated with the ballast are specified in IEC 60188 (High pressure mercury vapour lamps), IEC 60192 (Low pressure sodium vapour lamps), IEC 60662 (High pressure sodium vapour lamps), IEC 61167 (Metal halide lamps) and else for general purpose lighting. Ballasts for fluorescent lamps and for lamps for special applications like for theatre and for vehicles are excluded. The technical content is therefore identical to the base edition and its amendment and has been prepared for user convenience. A vertical line in the margin shows where the base publication has been modified by amendment 1. Additions and deletions are displayed in red, with deletions being struck through. This consolidated version consists of the first edition (2005) and its amendment 1 (2010). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication. This publication is to be read in conjunction with IEC 61347-1:2000.

IEC 61347-2-13:2014 specifies particular safety requirements for electronic controlgear for use on d.c. or a.c. supplies up to 1 000 V (a.c. at 50 Hz or 60 Hz) and at an output frequency which can deviate from the supply frequency, associated with LED modules. Controlgear for LED modules specified in this standard are designed to provide constant voltage or current at SELV or higher voltages. Deviations from the pure voltage and current types do not exclude the gear from this standard. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2006. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition. a) Replacement of the SELV-equivalent requirements by SELV requirements and reference to the SELV requirements of Annex L in IEC 61347-1:2007/AMD2:2012. b) Reference to IEC 61347-1 for the protection against accidental contact with live parts, moisture resistance and insulation and electric strength. c) New Annex J for emergency lighting requirements. This publication shall be read in conjunction with IEC 61347-1:2012

This part of IEC 61347 specifies general and safety requirements for lamp controlgear for use on d.c. supplies up to 250 V and/or a.c. supplies up to 1 000 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. This standard also covers lamp controlgear for lamps which are not yet standardized. Tests dealt with in this standard are type tests. Requirements for testing individual lamp controlgear during production are not included. Requirements for semi-luminaires are given in IEC 60598-1:2014 (see definition 1.2.60). Particular requirements for controlgears providing safety extra low voltage (from now on SELV) are given in Annex L. It can be expected that lamp control gear which comply with this standard will not compromise safety between 90 % and 110 % of their rated supply voltage in independent use and when operated in luminaires complying with the safety standard IEC 60598-1 and the relevant part IEC 60598-2-xx and with lamps complying with the relevant lamp standards. Performance requirements may require tighter limits.

This part of IEC 62707 specifies general requirements, a grid and a corresponding code for the colour binning of white LED packages emitting incoherent, visible radiation. It applies for LED packages. Other parts of the IEC 62707 series covering chromaticity of coloured LED packages, luminous flux/luminous intensity, colour rendering and forward voltage are in preparation or under consideration. NOTE 1 This International Standard does not apply for LED modules, LED lamps and LED luminaires. NOTE 2 Even though the words "white light" are used, the purpose of this International Standard is not to define "white light", but to specify a grid and a corresponding colour code for the colour binning of white LED packages emitting incoherent, visible radiation. The area covered by the grid may differ from the definition of white light given in other standards or regulations.

This part of IEC 62442 defines a measurement and calculation method of the total input power for controlgear ‒ lamp circuits when operating with their associated fluorescent lamp(s). The calculation method for the efficiency of the lamp controlgear is also defined. This International Standard applies to electrical controlgear lamp circuits consisting only of the controlgear and the lamp(s). It is intended for use on a.c. supplies up to 1 000 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. NOTE Requirements for testing individual controlgear during production are not included. It specifies the measurement method for the total input power and the calculation method of the controlgear efficiency for all controlgear used for domestic and normal commercial purposes operating with the following fluorescent lamps: – linear fluorescent lamps; – single-ended (compact) fluorescent lamps; – other general purpose fluorescent lamps. This International Standard does not apply to: – controlgear which form an integral part of the lamp; – controllable wire-wound magnetic controlgear; – luminaires, which rely on additional optical performance aspects.
