This document describes the test cases for the functional testing of QSIG features for interoperability between at least two vendors’ QSIG offerings. The purpose of QSIG is to provide a standard based Private networking protocol which will allow customers with equipment from different vendors to have a fairly seamless feature operation across their mixed vendor network. In testing multi-vendor interoperability, the emphasis of testing should remain on functionality rather than protocol conformance. All tests to be performed should stay at a level where end user capabilities are being tested, and should not enter a protocol analysis phase until all attempts (administration changes, etc.) have been exhausted to successfully complete a given test. Even when a test cannot be successfully completed or unwanted results occur, all vendors involved should agree together to enter a protocol analysis phase.
