This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) sets forth criteria for the selection, inspection, retread and repair of worn civil aircraft tires, and the means to verify that the retreaded tire is suitable for continued service. This document is applicable to both bias ply and radial aircraft tires qualified subsequent to the adoption of this document. This document sets for the minimum recommended requirements for retreaded tires used on civil aircraft. It also provides criteria for the escalation of retread level of tires used on civil aircraft. The combined recommendations contained in this document form, an acceptable practice, but not the only practice, for retreaded aircraft tires.
Aircraft Tire Retreading Practice - Bias and Radial
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) sets forth criteria for the selection and verification processes to be followed in providing tires that will be suitable for intended use on civil aircraft. This document encompasses new and requalified radial and bias aircraft tires. This document establishes the minimum recommended performance standards for new tires to be used on civil aircraft. All new or requalified tires shall meet these standards.
Aircraft New Tire Standard - Bias and Radial
This International Standard specifies the test methods used for valve cores and caps for aircraft tyres, with or without inner tubes, and minimum airtightness standards. It constitutes a detailed method allowing products to be evaluated on the same basis, and re-sults to be compared.
Test methods for aircraft inner tube and tubeless tyre valves. Cores and caps
Specifies the test methods used for valve cores and caps for aircraft tyres, with or without inner tubes, and minimum airtightness standards. Constitutes a detailed method allowing products to be evaluated on the same basis, and results to be compared.

SERVICE SUITABILITY (FLIGHT) TESTING OF REBUILT NAVY AIRCRAFT TIRES
ALL AIRCRAFT TIRES MANUFACTUREO/REDUILT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SHALL BE TAPED BEFORE DELIVERY, WITH A CIRCUMFERENTIAL BAND OF ONE (1) INCH, PRESSURE-SENSITIVE TAPE, COMPLETELY AROUND THE CENTERMOST RIB OF THE TREAD.
TAPE, IDENTIFICATION, COLOR CODED, FOR AIRCRAFT TIRES
This standard establishes minimum design, installation, qualification, and operational requirements for thermally actuated, pressure release devices for use only in tubeless tire type aircraft wheels. These devices are designed to completely release the contained inflation pressure from a tubeless tire and wheel assembly when brake generated heat causes the assembly to exceed a safe temperature operating level. The objective is to prevent tire or wheel rupture from brake generated heat which could cause serious personnel injuries or serious aircraft operational hazards.

This specification has been declared "NONCURRENT" as of January 2005. It is recommended, therefore, that this document not be specified for new designs. Each of these "NONCURRENT" documents is available from SAE. Document made inactive for new designs. Committee feels that the practice amongst wheel manufacturers is to use proprietary gland standards and materials to improve seal integrity rendering this document obsolete for new design. This document shall be retained for historical record only.
