The purpose of this test is to evaluate the comparative resistance of roof assemblies to positive and negative pressures. The test evaluates the roof deck, its attachment to supports, and roof covering materials. It does not evaluate roofs adjacent to chimneys, overhanging eaves, or similar construction, connections of the assembly to main structural supports (girders, columns, or other supports), structural integrity of secondary supports (purlins, joists, bulb tees, or the like), or deterioration of roofing materials.
