1.1 This guide covers the general effects of temperature from the aerosol foam sealant (either polyurethane or latex types) under the use temperatures. 1.2 The guide is intended to estimate the observed product dispensing characteristics and foam quality of aerosol foam dispensed or cured, or both, at specific temperatures and standard conditions. 1.3 Such foam sealants are primarily intended to reduce air movement in and out of building enclosures. 1.4 Currently two main foam sealant types are applicable to this standard: single component polyurethane and latex. 1.5 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. 1.6 There are no other known test methods specific for measuring the product temperature range for aerosol foam sealant. 1.7 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. 1.8 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

1.1 This practice is a performance-based standard for an electrical method for locating leaks in exposed geomembranes. For clarity, this practice uses the term “leak” to mean holes, punctures, tears, knife cuts, seam defects, cracks, and similar breaches in an installed geomembrane (as defined in 3.2.6). 1.2 This practice can be used for geomembranes installed in basins, ponds, tanks, ore and waste pads, landfill cells, landfill caps, canals, and other containment facilities. It is applicable for geomembranes made of materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, bituminous geomembrane, and any other electrically insulating materials. This practice is best applicable for locating geomembrane leaks where the proper preparations have been made during the construction of the facility. 1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. 1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. 1.5 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

1.1 This guide lists test methods intended to establish a minimum level of performance for insulated roof membrane assemblies, and lists pertinent design guidelines and installation methods in a unified manner. Material tests and evaluations are included with and without roof insulation. 1.2 It is not possible to establish a precise correlation between laboratory tests on roof assemblies and natural weathering due to variations in geographical climate, design, material, and installation. 1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the standard.

1.1 Structural sealant glazing, hereinafter referred to as SSG, is an application where a sealant not only can function as a barrier against the passage of air and water through a building envelope, but also primarily provides structural support and attachment of glazing or other components to a window, curtain wall, or other framing system. 1.2 This guide provides information useful to design professionals, manufacturers, contractors, and others for the design and installation of a SSG system. This information is applicable only to this glazing method when used for a building wall that is not more than 15° from vertical; however, limited information is included concerning a sloped SSG application. 1.3 Only a silicone chemically curing sealant specifically formulated, tested, and marketed for structural sealant glazing is acceptable for a SSG system application. 1.4 The committee with jurisdiction for this standard is not aware of any comparable standard published by other organizations. 1.5 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses after SI units are provided for information only and are not considered standard. The document specifies a method for evaluating the adhesion of sealants with a minimum elongation at break of 25 % (according to ISO 8339, Method A or B) on various substrates. This test method can be used for one-component and multi component sealants. This method is typically used for elastic sealants but can be also used for plastic sealants. For plastic sealants, the test can be more difficult and needs to be carried out by experienced technicians. This test is used to judge the adhesion of construction sealants in combination with cleaners, activators and/or primers on various substrates when exposed to a peeling force and also after different aging conditions. An adhesion test according to this document can also be conducted for process monitoring and quality assurance accompanying production. The test method described in this document is not intended to replace any adhesion cohesion test methods specified in ISO 11600.
