1.1 This test method covers the determination of the relative density and density of semi-solid asphalt materials, asphalt binders, asphalt cements, and soft-tar pitches by use of a digital density meter (U-tube). NOTE 1—Alternate methods for determining the density of semi-solid and solid asphalt materials and asphalt binders include Test Methods D3289, D3142/D3142M, and D70. 1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only. No other units of measurement are included in this standard, with the exception of temperature measurements. Units provided in degrees Fahrenheit are for reference purposes only. Temperatures given in degrees Celsius are to be considered standard. 1.3 The between-laboratory reproducibility of this test method is being determined and will be available on or before June 2021. Therefore, this standard should not be used for acceptance or rejection of a material for purchasing purposes. 1.4 This test method should not be applied to petroleum distillates other than asphalt and asphalt binders. For the determination of density of all other petroleum distillates and viscous oils, use Test Method D4052 or D5002, or ISO 12185. 1.5 The text of this standard references notes and footnotes which provide explanatory material. These footnotes (excluding those in tables and figures) shall not be considered as requirements of the standard. 1.6 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. 1.7 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

1.1 These test methods cover procedures for sampling and testing prefabricated, reinforced, polymer-modified bituminous sheet materials designed for singleor multiple-ply application in roofing and waterproofing membranes. These products may use various surfacing materials on one side. 1.2 These test methods cover a number of different products. Not all tests are required for every product. Only those called out in the Product Standard are required. 1.3 These test methods appear in the following order: Section Sampling 4 Conditioning 5 Thickness 6 Load Strain Properties 7 Tear Strength 8 Moisture Content 9 Water Absorption 10 Dimensional Stability 11 Low-Temperature Flexibility 12 Heat Conditioning 13 Accelerated Weathering 14 Granule Embedment 15 Compound Stability 16 Coating Thickness 17 Low Temperature Unrolling 18 Precision and Bias 19 1.4 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard. 1.5 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. 1.6 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

1.1 This specification covers re-refined engine oil bottoms, also known as vacuum tower asphalt extender, that may be used in formulating asphalt for pavement construction and roofing. This specification has been developed specifically for these two categories of product and is not intended for other uses. Table 1 is to be used for pavement construction and Table 2 for roofing. “Re-refined engine oil bottoms” (REOB) is the prevailing name used by many state highway agencies and FHWA, while “vacuum tower asphalt extender” (VTAE) is the preferred name used by the manufacturers of the product. Since each name provides an important descriptor of production elements (“re-refined” and “vacuum tower”) for the specific product this specification addresses, this specification uses the term “REOB/VTAE.” 1.2 Units—The values stated in either SI units or inchpound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the standard. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. 1.4 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

1.1 This practice covers reclamation of asphalt shingles derived from manufacturing scrap and tear-off roofing. Reclaimed asphalt shingles (RAS) are used in roadway and other applications including asphalt paving materials and unbound materials such as granular fill. 1.2 Guidance is provided relating to material quality, material quality control, and also operator and facility qualifications. 1.3 Units—The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. NOTE 1—Sieve size is identified by its standard designation in Specification E11. The alternative designation given in parentheses is for information only and does not represent a different standard sieve size. 1.4 This practice offers a set of instructions for performing one or more specific operations. This document cannot replace education or experience and should be used in conjunction with professional judgment. Not all aspects of this practice may be applicable in all circumstances. This ASTM standard is not intended to represent or replace the standard of care by which the adequacy of a given professional service must be judged, nor should this document be applied without consideration of a project’s many unique aspects. The word “Standard” in the title means only that the document has been approved through the ASTM consensus process.

1.1 This specification describes the properties of cold liquid applied, single-component or multicomponent, chemically curing elastomeric structural silicone sealants herein referred to as the sealant. These sealants are intended to structurally adhere components of structural sealant glazing systems. 1.2 Only those properties for which there are industryagreed-upon minimum acceptable requirements, as determined by available ASTM test methods, are described in this specification. Additional properties may be added as ASTM test methods for those properties become available. 1.3 The values stated in metric (SI) units are to be regarded as the standard. The values in parentheses are for information only. 1.4 Committee C24, with jurisdiction over this specification, is aware of two comparable standards by other organizations: ETAG No. 002 and the Chinese national standard GB16776. 1.5 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
