1.1 This specification covers the requirements for interlocking concrete pavers manufactured for the construction of paved surfaces. 1.2 Concrete units covered by this specification shall be made with lightweight or normal weight aggregates or both. NOTE 1—If particular features are desired, such as weight classification, higher compressive strength, surface textures, finish, color, or other special features, such properties should be specified by the purchaser. Local sellers, however, should be consulted as to availability of units having the desired features. 1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. 1.1 This test method covers the determination of the field surface infiltration rate of in place permeable unit pavement systems surfaced with solid interlocking concrete paving units, concrete grid paving units, or clay paving brick. NOTE 1—For in-place pervious concrete, Test Method C1701/C1701M should be used. 1.1 This practice describes a laboratory procedure for estimating the extent to which aggregates or pavement surfaces are likely to polish when subjected to traffic. Specimens to be evaluated for polishing resistance are placed in a circular track and subjected to the wearing action of four small-diameter, pneumatic tires without use of abrasive or water. Terminal polish is achieved after approximately 8 h of exposure. 1.2 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

1.1 This test method covers the determination of the gradation (size distribution) of glass spheres used in pavement marking systems using a Flowing Stream Digital Analyzer. Typical gradations for pavement marking systems are defined in ranges from Type 0 through 5 in AASHTO M247-08. 1.2 This test method provides for the presentation of the size data in a variety of formats to the requirements of the agency pavement marking material specification. For most specifications the standard format is to present the size data as “Percent Retained” or “Percent Passing” relative to a series of standard US sieve sizes. 1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard.
