(a) If a producer is eligible to receive payments under this part and benefits under any other program administered by the Secretary for the same crop loss, the producer must choose whether to receive the other program benefits or payments under this part, but shall not be eligible for both. The limitation on multiple benefits prohibits a pro-ducer from being compensated more than once for the same loss.

(a) Special provisions are required to assess losses and calculate assistance for a few crops and commodities which do not lend themselves to yield loss sit-uations. Assistance for these commod-ities is calculated based on the loss of value at the time of disaster. The agen-cy shall determine which crops shall be treated as value-loss crops, but unless otherwise announced, such crops shall be limited to those identified in §§ 1437.303 through 1437.309 as value loss crops. Lost productions of value loss crops shall be compensable only under this subpart.
