Method of dowel-bearing strength test for wood and wood-based products
This standard specifies requirements for bonded finger joints and minimum requirements for the manufacture of cut, interlocking, bonded finger joints in structural timber members. Requirements are given for timber, adhesive, moisture content, cutting and bonding. This standard is only applicable to finger joints between timber members of the same species type. Although most finger joints are produced in coniferous species this standard also applies to broad-leaved species where information is available to enable them to be satisfactorily bonded. It does not cover impressed (die-formed) joints. In the case of glued laminated timber it applies only to individual laminations. Large finger joints in glued laminated timber are covered by EN 387. N~TE This standard is elaborated as a supporting standard for a harmonized standard on structural timber with finger joints to be published in the future.

This International Standard defines five use classes that represent different service situations to which wood and wood-based products can be exposed all over the world. Subclasses are also defined for these use classes. NOTE These subclasses might or might not be employed in national or regional standards depending on local needs. This International Standard applies only to preservatives and processes for pre-treatment of wood and wood products and is not intended for products and processes for remediation and eradication of existing damage to timber. The annex to this International Standard provides guidance on applying use classification to specify preservative treatments, treated wood, naturally durable and modified wood but does not provide definitive specifications.
Durability of wood and wood-based products - Use classes
Durability of wood and wood-based products - Definition of use classes - Part 4 : national declaration on the situation of biological agents.
This part of EN 351 provides guidance on the general procedures used in obtaining samples of preservative-treated wood to determine the penetration and retention of wood preservative. This part of EN 351 is applicable for the production of preservative-treated solid wood, including glued laminated timber, suitable for use in those service conditions defined by the used classes in EN 335-1. However, the sampling guidance provided within this part of EN 351 may be applied for the subsequent examination of treated wood in service.
Durability of wood and wood-based products - Preservative-treated solid wood - Part 2: Guidance on sampling for the analysis of preservative-treated wood; German version EN 351-2:2007
This part of EN 351 establishes classification for preservative-treated wood in terms of preservative penetration and gives guidance on a classification of retention. These should be used as a basis for specifying preservative treatments for particular products. This part of EN 351 provides terminology to be used by the specifier when preparing a preservative treatment specification or product standard. It is not a treatment specification in itself. This part of EN 351 is applicable to the production of preservative-treated solid wood, including glued laminated timber, suitable for use in those service conditions defined by the use classes in EN 335-1. It does not apply to any subsequent examination of treated wood in service. This part of EN 351 is applicable to the protection of wood against attack by wood-destroying and wood- disfiguring fungi, insects and marine organisms. This part of EN 351 does not consider other properties of treated wood, for example odour, corrosiveness and compatibility with other materials, nor does it consider any properties from the health, safety and environmental point of view. This part of EN 351 does not apply to wood treated with formulations that are applied to timber in service to eliminate or control an existing fungal or insect infestation, or to prevent attack by sapstain fungi, or insects in green timber.

Flooring board
Specifies a test method of determining the boron content, in boric acid form, in test samples of timber.
Retention of boron in timber (analytical method)
This International Standard defines cork as a raw material for the industry, as well as the terms to be used in describing the different forms in which cork may be found. This International Standard also indicates the terms and definitions concerning its main products, some of the operations to which cork may be submitted and anomalies that may be associated with it.
Cork - Vocabulary
This part of ISO 9727 specifies a test method for determining the percentage of diameter recovery of cylindrical cork stoppers, after compression. It is applicable to all types of cylindrical cork stoppers ready for use or semi-worked, intended to be completely inserted in the bottle neck (straight cork stoppers).
Cylindrical cork stoppers - Physical tests - Determination of dimensional recovery after compression
This part of ISO 9727 specifies a test method for determining the liquid tightness of a cylindrical cork stopper. It is applicable to all types of cylindrical cork stoppers ready for use, intended to be completely inserted in the bottle neck (straight cork stoppers).
Cylindrical cork stoppers - Physical tests - Determination of liquid tightness
This part of ISO 9727 specifies a test method for determining the dimensions of cylindrical cork stoppers, namely diameter, length and, in some cases, ovalisation. It is applicable to all types of cylindrical cork stoppers as defined in ISO 633, ready for use or semi-worked.
Cylindrical cork stoppers - Physical tests - Determination of dimensions
This part of ISO 9727 specifies a test method for determining the maximum force necessary to extract a cylindrical cork stopper. It is applicable to all types of cylindrical cork stoppers ready for use, intended to be completely inserted in the bottle neck (straight cork stoppers).
