This International Standard specifies the mechanical, physical and optical characteristics of a 120 mm and an 80 mm dual layer DVD recordable disk to enable the interchange of such disks. It specifies the quality of the pre-recorded, unrecorded and recorded signals, the format of the data, the format of the information zone, the format of the unrecorded zone, and the recording method, thereby allowing for information interchange by means of such disks. This disk is identified as a DVD recordable disk for dual layer (DVD-R for DL). This International Standard specifies the following: - 120 mm and 80 mm nominal diameter disks that can be either single- or double-sided; - the conditions for conformance; - the environments in which the disk is to be operated and stored; - the mechanical and physical characteristics of the disk, so as to provide mechanical interchange between data processing systems; - the format of the pre-recorded information on an unrecorded disk, including the physical disposition of the tracks and sectors, the error correcting codes and the coding method used; - the format of the data and the recorded information on the disk, including the physical disposition of the tracks and sectors, the error correcting codes and the coding method used; - the characteristics of the signals from pre-recorded and unrecorded areas on the disk, enabling data processing systems to read the pre-recorded information and to write to the disks; - the characteristics of the signals recorded on the disk, enabling data processing systems to read the data from the disk. This International Standard provides for interchange of disks between disk drives. Together with a standard for volume and file structure, it provides for full data interchange between data processing systems.

This part of ISO/IEC 14443 describes: - polling for proximity cards or objects (PICCs) entering the field of a proximity coupling device (PCD); - the byte format, the frames and timing used during the initial phase of communication between PCDs and PICCs; - the initial Request and Answer to Request command content; - methods to detect and communicate with one PICC among several PICCs (anticollision); - other parameters required to initialize communications between a PICC and PCD; - optional means to ease and speed up the selection of one PICC among several PICCs based on application criteria. Protocol and commands used by higher layers and by applications and which are used after the initial phase are described in ISO/IEC 14443-4. This part of ISO/IEC 14443 is applicable to PICCs of Type A and of Type B (as described in ISO/IEC 14443-2). NOTE 1 Part of the timing of data communication is defined in ISO/IEC 14443-2. NOTE 2 Test methods for this International Standard are defined in ISO/IEC 10373-6.

This part of ISO/IEC 10373 describes a Test Methodology and a list of Test Scenarios to evaluate the compliance of a card with ISO/IEC 7816-12. Specifically, this part of ISO/IEC 10373: - addresses USB 2.0 physical layer measurements and electrical compliance testing; - discusses issues relative to the Test Tools to analyse USB bus traffic and provides guidance for the Test Scenarios given in this part of ISO/IEC 10373; - proposes a classification of Test Scenarios given in this part of ISO/IEC 10373, along with validation criteria; - discusses Test Cases for compliance with the USB CCID Class Device. NOTE Compliance means cards that are called USB-ICC products are designed to match the description in ISO/IEC 7816-12.

ISO/IEC 24727 is a set of programming interfaces for interactions between integrated circuit cards and external applications to include generic services for multi-sector use. This part of ISO/IEC 24727 specifies conformance testing procedures designed to determine if interfaces developed with the ISO/IEC 24727 series meet the requirement of ISO/IEC 24727. By conforming to this part of ISO/IEC 24727, interoperable implementations of ISO/IEC 24727 can be realized. Test procedures for ISO/IEC 24727-2, ISO/IEC 24727-3 and ISO/IEC 24727-4 are described with sufficient detailing in support of ISO/IEC 24727 interoperability requirements, i.e. the connectivity, ISO/IEC 24727 security mechanisms and discovery mechanisms between the client-application and the card-application. This part of ISO/IEC 24727 defines calls on ISO/IEC 24727-3 in an ordered sequence. It also defines the confirmation of integrity of transmitted data by an implementation under test, as well as the syntax of that data received from the implementation under test for the marshalling procedures defined in ISO/IEC 24727-3 and ISO/IEC 24727-4. For each test procedure, the conditions required for its execution are defined, along with the conditions under which it has to be executed and the expected results. Structures and entities used for the tests, as well as a common set of recurring sequences used for the various procedures, are identified and documented in this part of ISO/IEC 24727.
