几十年来,含氟工业残留物对饮用水的污染一直是北美地区紧迫关注的问题。历史上,美国的化学品制造商带来的大面积、点源污染一直是一个区域性问题。但在过去的10年里,“永久的化学品”和相关物质已经成为全球性的问题,这一点已经变得非常明显。中国也正在采取措施解决全氟烷基和多氟烷基物质(PFAS)污染和人类接触问题。本报告将讨论PFAS的最新检测技术和解决方案,希望对中国和世界各地的科学家和实验室有所帮助。

The contamination of drinking water with industry fluorinated residues has been an urgent concern in North America for decades. Chemical manufacturers in the United States have historical meant that large, point-source pollution has been a regional issue. But in the last 10 years it has become glaringly apparent that the “forever chemicals” and related species are truly a global issue. China is taking steps to address PFAS contamination and human exposure by implementing new regulations on these chemicals in drinking water. This presentation will discuss the most recent technology and solutions that will help scientists and laboratories detect and quantify PFAS in China and around the world.

主讲人介绍

Katherine C. Hyland

Katherine C. Hyland, PhD

KC joined SCIEX in 2013 as an Applications Specialist, working closely with food, cannabis, and other testing laboratories throughout the USA, and joined the technical marketing team in 2017. She is the author or co-author of over thirty SCIEX application notes to date. KC’s areas of expertise include perfluorinated surfactants in the environment, cannabis product analysis, novel areas in food testing such as foodOMICs, and water/wastewater treatment processes and testing. KC received her PhD. (2014) and MSc (2011) in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. 

 

Katherine C. Hyland博士于2013年作为应用专家加入SCIEX,2017年转入全球技术市场团队。迄今为止,她发表三十多篇SCIEX应用文章。她的专业领域包括环境中的全氟表面活性剂、毒品分析、食品组学等食品测试的新领域,以及水/废水处理工艺和测试。Katherine毕业于科罗拉多矿业学院,于 2014年获得博士学位。
