Cysteine string proteins (csps) are a family of cysteine-rich proteins, originally identified from synaptic terminals of Drosophila, and later from Torpedo electric organ and mammalian brain where they have been implicated in events associated with transmitter secretion. It is now known that csp1 and csp2 are broadly distributed in rat tissues, including zymogen granules from pancreatic acinar cells, adrenomedullary chromaffin cells and mammary epithelial cells. Csps could become important markers of secretory cells. Product Specification Alternative Name: csp1 and csp2 Formulation: Liquid. Neat serum containing 0.1% sodium azide.
