Scope 1.1 This standard applies to mineral or white spirits petroleum distillate that may be used as a paint and varnish thinner. It is not be used in special applications where low-flash or high solvency thinners are required. 1.2 This thinner may be used to clean brushes and spraying equipment. 1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
