This standard applies to the planning, execution and testing of grouting of hollow spaces of subsoil for the purpose of water-proofing and/or stabilization.; The grouted part of the subsoil can be regarded as building element or as subsoil with improved properties. With respect to the stabilization of loose rock the area outside the grouting volume is regarded as subsoil according to DIN 1054. The permissible loads for grouted rock are determined by DIN 1054 and, according to this standard, the properties improved by grouting may be taken into account. this standard applies analogously to the reinstatement of special substructures, e.g. gravity dams.
