This International Standard defines a cross support reference model which provides a common basis for coordinating the development of CCSDS Recommended Standards for space link extension (SLE) service specifications and serves as a reference to maintain the consistency of these Recommended Standards. The scope and field of application are furthermore detailed in subclauses 1.2 and 1.3 of the enclosed CCSDS publication.
