This example is based on an actual wood frame school building. The purpose of this example is to demonstrate the use of the Tier 1 Checklists only. While this structure meets all of the requirements set forth in Tier 1, it should be noted that this is an ideal case; in most evaluations, there will be statements that are non-compliant, requiring that the deficiencies be reported or that a Deficiency-Only Tier 2 Evaluation be conducted.
