This Standard specifies the laminated glass (1) to be used mainly for the windows of buildings and
ships, furniture and the like.
Note (1) The laminated glass is that of which two or more material plate glasses have been bonded with entire surface by inserting the intermediate membrane, and in case of fracture due to an external force, the larger part of the fragments has been so made as not being scattered. The classification of material flat glasses is listed in 6. Middle film is the thin layer of synthetic resin that is inserted for the purpose of adhesion two material flat glasses.
