1.1 This standard specification applies to the design and manufacture of semi-automatic food-slicing machines with an electrically driven rotating knife of up to 13 in. diameter. It includes gravity-feed machines where the food is advanced on an inclined plane, and horizontal-feed machines where the food is advanced on a horizontal plane.
