This Standard specifies fluorescent lamp luminaires for residential lighting which
utilizes fluorescent lamp(s) as the light source, and is easily connected to the power
supply of a.c. 100 V by means of attachment plug, hang-type ceiling rossete, etc. The
fluorescent lamp used by this Standard shall be those specified in JIS C 7601, or at
least equivalent thereto in performances.
The fluorescent lamp luminaires for residential lighting as referred to in this Stan-
dard are the luminaires excluding those stated below.
a) The luminaires specified in a) to 1) of Remarks 2 in clause 1 of JIS C 8105"3.
b) Waterproof luminaires
c) Movable luminaires
d) Apparatus that uses compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp
