This process has been used typically to grind tungsten carbide HVOF coatings applied inaccordance with AMS 2447 or AMS 2448 to high strength steels for applications requiring wear,heat, and corrosion resistance or dimensional restoration, such as aircraft landing gearcomponents. However, usage is not limited to such applications. This process specificationdoes not cover superfinishing of HVOF applied coatings.
