The ITU Radiocommunication Assembly considering a)that the exchange of sound programmes is very important and extensive and it should be taken into account;b)that international standardization of the audio signal formats and of the methods used for the international exchange of sound programme material offers important advantages;c)that the alignment of operating practices used for the international exchange of sound programme material is highly desirable.
