This amendment has been prepared by CEN/TC 168 'Chains, ropes, webbing, slings and accessories - Safety' (Secretariat: United Kingdom). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Stahldraht und Stahl- drahterzeugnisse (Steel Wire and Wire Products Standards Committee), Technical Committee NAD-4 Drahtseile, Seil-~ndverbindungen und Anschlagseile. Amendment A1 to DIN EN 13414-2:2003 supplements the specifications relating to inspection and first use of wire rope slings given in subclause 5.3 and A.2.2.
