This international standard is intended to facilitate user selection of an image scanner. This standard specifies the minimum information that shall be included by manufacturers in their specification sheets for scanners. This standard applies to scanners which may be used in an office environment. It is also applicable to scanners which may be used by individuals as components of dedicated personal (home) systems.
