This Recommendation provides protection criteria for Cospas-Sarsat search and rescue instruments placedon-board satellites in geostationary, medium-Earth and low-Earth orbits (LEO) and receiving signals fromemergency position indicating radio beacons (EPIRBs) and other distress beacons operating in the406-406.1 MHz band.
