The standard specifies the sampling strategy for the collection of samples of fibrous dusts settled on surfaces which are taken according to VDI 3877 Part 1. The guideline describes the application of the deposition flux measuring device (IRMA) for the determination of the deposition flux of ammonia and ammonium compounds.
