ISO 15500-1:2015 specifies general requirements and definitions of compressed natural gas fuel system components, intended for use on the types of motor vehicles as defined in ISO 3833. It also provides general design principles, and specifies requirements for instructions and marking. This part of ISO 15500 is applicable to vehicles (mono-fuel, bi-fuel, or dual-fuel applications) using natural gas in accordance with ISO 15403‑1. It is not applicable to the following: a) liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel system components located upstream of, and including, the vaporizer; b) fuel containers; c) stationary gas engines; d) container mounting hardware; e) electronic fuel management; f) refuelling receptacles. NOTE 1 It is recognized that miscellaneous components not specifically covered herein can be examined to meet the criteria of this part of ISO 15500 and tested according to the appropriate functional tests. NOTE 2 All references to pressure in this part of ISO 15500 are to be considered gauge pressures unless otherwise specified. NOTE 3 This part of ISO 15500 is based upon a service pressure for natural gas as fuel of 20 MPa [200 bar[1]] settled at 15 °C. Other service pressures can be accommodated by adjusting the pressure by the appropriate factor (ratio). For example, a 25 MPa (250 bar) service pressure system will require pressures to be multiplied by 1,25. [1] 1 bar = 0,1 MPa = 105 Pa; 1 MPa = 1 N/mm2

ISO 19724:2016 specifies cleanliness assessment procedures for evaluating the amount of debris present on the clean side of the constituent parts of high pressure gasoline direct fuel injection systems. The presence of such debris could lead to a reduction in the system's operational performance. While other International Standards (e.g. ISO 16232 series) relate to the cleanliness of different types of components used in road vehicle fluid circuits, this document focuses on the special procedures applied for the components of gasoline direct fuel injection systems.

ISO 14469:2017 specifies CNG refuelling nozzles and receptacles constructed entirely of new and unused parts and materials, for road vehicles powered by compressed natural gas. A CNG refuelling connector consists of, as applicable, the receptacle and its protective cap (mounted on the vehicle) and the nozzle. ISO 14469:2017 is applicable only to such devices designed for a service pressure of 20 MPa (200 bar) and 25 MPa (250 bar), to those using CNG according to ISO 15403‑1 and ISO 15403‑2 and having standardized mating components, and to connectors that prevent natural gas vehicles from being fuelled by dispensers with service pressures higher than that of the vehicle, while allowing them to be fuelled by dispensers with service pressures less than or equal to the vehicle fuel system service pressure. ISO 14469:2017 refers to service pressures of 20 MPa and 25 MPa for: - size 1: B200 and B250; - size 2: C200 and C250.
