INDICATOR, EVENT COUNTING, GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR
This specification covers optical-quality coatings applied to instrument glasses. This coating has been used typically to reduce the intensity of reflection from the surfaces of instrument glasses and to increase light transmission through the glasses, but usage is not limited to such applications.

MIL-I-20037B, dated 1 June 1984, with Amendment 2, dated 8 Dec 2000, is inactive for new design and is no longer used, except for replacement purposes. Future acquisition for this material should refer to ASTM F2045, "Standard Specification for Indicators, Sight, Liquid Level, Direct and Indirect Reading, Tubular Glass/Plastic."

This AIR provides descriptions of aircraft actuation system failure-detection methods. The methods are those used for ground and in-flight detection of failures in electrohydraulic actuation systems for primary flight control. The AIR concentrates on full Fly-By-Wire (FBW) flight control actuation, but also includes one augmented-control system. The purpose of this document is to aid the designers of the systems of the future by showing what succeeded in the past.
Actuation System Failure Detection Methods
This standard provides a listing of terms and definitions related to inertial sensors. The criterion for inclusion of terms and definitions in this standard is their general usefulness as related to inertial sensor technology.

The objective of this Minimum Operational Performance Specification is to specify the minimum performance of onboard inflight icing detection systems. Throughout the document, these devices are referred to as Flight Icing Detection Systems (FIDS). These systems are intended to either provide information which indicates the presence of ice accreted in flight on monitored surfaces or indicate the presence of icing conditions in the atmosphere. They may operate the airplane anti-ice/deice systems. Detection of ice accreted on the ground is not considered in this document but can be found in ED-104. This MOPS was written for the use of FIDS on airplanes only, as defined in paragraph 1.5. Use on other aircraft may require additional considerations.

This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) provides minimum performance and design standards to be applied to an Aviation Distress Signal, a handheld, high- intensity, stroboscopic light source designed to facilitate location and rescue of aviation accident/ditching survivors by ground, sea or airborne search and rescue resources. The purpose of this document is to define a device that can be used in lieu of pyrotechnic devices in aviation survival kits - while meeting two primary objectives: (1) provide an equivalent level of safety to pyrotechnics with respect to utility as an aid to search and rescue, and (2) eliminate significant potential equipment and personnel hazards posed by the use of pyrotechnics by untrained personnel in inflatable life rafts.
