This International Standard pertains to apertures and related properties of photographic lenses affecting the illuminance at the centre of the image. This International Standard specifies aperture markings for all types of lenses used in still cameras, and gives tolerances for the stop numbers. It also defines aperture stop, entrance pupil, focal length, relative aperture and stop numbers, and gives methods for their measurement or determination. This International Standard applies only to lenses focused on objects at infinity; that is, at least 50 times the focal length of the lens.

This specification defines the requirements for the qualification of radiographic interpreters. The qualification of radiographic interpreters requires experience, knowledge, and skills unique to the interpretation of radiographic media and the determination of acceptance criteria for weldments and adjacent base metal. Training and work experience in radiographic theory, procedures, weld and adjacent base metal defect recognition, radiographic processing, handling, storage, and code requirements relating to radiographic acceptance criteria are essential to ensuring the competence of individuals engaged in radiographic interpretation.

This International Standard specifies procedures that enable a camera operator to produce microfilm of appropriate quality of presentation and legibility, capable of yielding scanned images of acceptable quality. This International Standard specifies methods for microfilming documents on 16 mm and 35 mm silver-gelatin microfilm, including orientation of images on microfilm, use of non-image areas and information required to facilitate identification of the microfilm. This International Standard applies to microfilming using rotary and planetary cameras. This International Standard does not apply to the filming of technical drawings, maps and plans and newspapers, for which specific International Standards exist [1-3].

This document defines an extension of the MXF File Format that allows specific classes of data streams to be contained in MXF Body Partitions. The classes of data streams are either essence that is unevenly distributed along the timeline or large amounts of metadata that cannot suitably be stored in the Header Metadata. Examples for such data streams are time-varying metadata, structured text files and ‘lumpy’ essence, i.e. that is not evenly spread along the timeline. The Generic Stream Container is not intended to carry metadata that could be placed in MXF Header Metadata or essence or metadata that could suitably be stored in the MXF Generic Container. This document defines the KLV encoding methods used to carry the data stream. This document also defines partitions that are used to multiplex Generic Streams into the byte stream of MXF files. These Generic Stream Partitions provide for the carriage of Generic Streams in separate partitions from those partitions carrying Essence Container data or Index Table segments. Essence and metadata payloads that are carried in Generic Stream Partitions are defined in associated documents. This document defines rules for the documents that specify the Generic Stream Payloads and their application. It also defines the basic linking mechanisms of Generic Streams to the Header Metadata of the MXF file.

This part of ISO 12234 specifies a basic removable-memory reference model for digital electronic still-picture cameras. The reference model includes image file formats for storing image data and metadata, filing system requirements for storing and retrieving the image files on the removable memory, and media profiles which are specific to a given storage technology. The reference model allows the image data and metadata to be interchanged among the various components of an electronic imaging system by using the removable storage media.
